Sr Underwriter Construction - Brussels - International Insurer

Our client is an international insurance player specialised in technical and construction risks, with easily accessible offices in Brussels. The organisation is developing its growing market and focuses on complex corporate risks with high added value.

• Analyse insurance submissions and assess technical and commercial risks
• Manage and grow a profitable underwriting portfolio autonomously
• Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and key clients
• Identify and develop new opportunities within construction and engineering
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic partners
• Act as a technical reference and key point of contact
• Contribute actively to knowledge sharing within an expert team

• Master's degree in engineering, architecture or construction-related field
• At least 4 years of experience in technical and/or construction insurance
• Fluent Dutch, good knowledge of French and English
• Strong understanding of technical risk assessment and underwriting
• Analytical mindset with solid commercial and negotiation skills
• Proactive personality with a strong sense of ownership
