Mechanical Supervisor

Position summary:

You are responsible for leading the plant mechanical team (Shift Mechanical Engineers, Toolroom, Utility team, Workshop Team, Process Engineers) in all the maintenance and process activities in the plant to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of high speed can making Lines and ancillaries. You will be the key person driving operational excellence programs and size changes in the plant, and also be responsible for all the mechanical safety, lean events, capital projects, energy saving, and EIP.

What are we looking for?

7 years relevant experience in maintenance in high-speed manufacturing with sound maintenance management practices.
Experience in mechanical power presses, hydraulic equipment maintenance, printing press, handling LPG, maintenance of gas-fired ovens, boilers etc.
Knowledge of AutoCAD - Mechanical.
Experienced in TPM implementation in process industry. Good understanding of other modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Structured Problem Solving, Six Sigma.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize workload based upon the plant requirements and KPI’s. Good planning skills, coordination skill and follow-up skill
Comfortable communication in written and spoken English

Work Environment: This role requires on-site presence at our Genk plant.

Hiring Range: 60,750 – 87,480 EUR gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on any applicable collective bargaining agreement’s minimum salary, the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks.

Incentive Plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball’s annual incentive compensation program.
