A European industrial group operating internationally, recognized for its engineering expertise and technological solutions for infrastructure and equipment markets.
Ensure achievement of target costs (TCO) for new developments through to multi-site industrialization in collaboration with Engineering, RsD and Operations.
Identify, prioritize, and lead cost-optimization initiatives (value engineering, redesign-to-cost, supplier consolidation, material/process optimization).
Drive component and platform standardization across product families to maximize cross-product synergies and value.
Manage supplier relationships: technical challenge of designs, support make-or-buy analyses and lead commercial C technical negotiations.
Co-design and optimize the supply chain architecture with Operations to improve cost efficiency, resilience, and lead times.
Lead project governance: roadmap, KPIs (cost targets, savings, time-to-market), progress reviews, and executive-level reporting.
Profiel
Diploma: Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics) or Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
Experience: 7+ years min. of relevant experience in industrial purchasing, sourcing projects, or cost-engineering roles.
Skills: Strong knowledge of TCO, value engineering, cost modelling, and familiarity with ERP/PLM
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills in a matrix
Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional local language (FR/NL) is a
